Audrey Dupois Grande Selection NV

The Audrey Dupois Grande Selection Champagne NV is a sparkling wine of rare depth and complexity that arises from the mixture of art and genius used in its production. There is the art in the vineyards, choosing fine quality fruit given just the right exposure to the season with the expert blending of a range of components also essential to give a Champagne with true soul and substance, reflecting our aims with the Grande Selection. At Champagne Audrey Dupois long-standing relationships give us access to some superb parcels of fruit which weave their magic in our final Grande Selection Non-Vintage blend.

In the winery, Champagne Audrey Dupois is made with complete dedication to quality. While many Champagnes are left for a minimum of fifteen months on yeast lees to gain that region-defining complexity, Champagne Audrey Dupois sits undisturbed for three years in cool cellars on lees adding texture and depth to the final wine. In addition the Grande Selection Non-Vintage also spends an additional three years in bottle after disgorgement providing the wonderful elegance and complexity found in every bottle of Champagne Audrey Dupois Grande Selection NV.

The current release is drawn from predominantly Chardonnay with the balance made up of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir from the exceptional 2002 vintage with a proportion drawn from 2003. Fine straw yellow in colour with a thin ribbon of fine bubbles rising from the glass, the Grande Selection Non-Vintage begins with seductive aromas of mineral, fresh brioche and crisp green apple. In the mouth Chardonnay asserts itself with a lively and fresh palate driven by zesty acidity with creamy nuances and complex nougat and melon fruit building to an extended finish. A Champagne that is the perfect aperitif or a fine match with exceptional canapés.
